Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.
We participated in NSW Department of Education Pulse Alive performance for the first time in 2025 at Olympic Park Sydney with a troupe of seventeen dancers. In 2026 we will be taking a mixed company of 44 dancers and choir members.
Festival of Instrumental Music
Tumbarumba Public School has a long history of participation in the NSW Department of Education Festival of Instrumental Music at the Sydney Opera House. In 2024 one of our students performed as a soloist along with students learning to performing the repertoire in descant 1 and 2 recorders.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world. All stages participate in age-appropriate excursions ranging from single day to 3-day overnight excursions.
